Hong Kong is ready for the Beijing
Olympics Equestrian Events
June 4, 2008
With less than a hundred days less
remaining to the start of the Olympic games The University of Hong Kong
Management Alumni Society was proud to have Mr Lam Woon-kwong, Chief Executive Officer
of The Equestrian Events (Hong Kong) of
the Games of the XXIX Olympiad Company Limited [The Equestrian Company] come
to the HKU Faculty of Business and Economics Admiralty Town Centre to talk to
our members and friends about the preparations for events in Hong Kong.
Mr Lam, a fellow HKU alumnus, introduced all the different
elements of the Equestrian and Paralympic events and
the special facilities that are in place to welcome both welcomes and
spectators to Hong Kong.
The organization of the games is
really no mean feat and we are all the more thankful to Mr
Lam for managing to make time to come and speak to our alumni and friends.
The presentation really brought to
life the meaning and impact of the Equestrian events being held in our city and
left the audience very excited at their imminent arrival - and eager to know
how to procure last minute tickets!
For our alumni and friends who were
not able to attend, a short video can be viewed here. From all
of us who attended, there is no doubt left that Hong Kong
is indeed ready for the Olympics!
