Welcome to the website of the Hong Kong University Management Alumni Society
(UMA). We are a body established officially under the University's ordinance
and comprise of over 1,500 graduates, many of whom are now in senior management positions or leaders in their respective
industries.
UMA's long history in bonding
graduates from the School of Business dates back to 1977. I am very proud to be part of the alumni society where consolidated efforts from a wide spectrum of business alumni will
continue to make our prior and/or current study in HKU more meaningful and
memorable. It is the mission of the 2007/2008 Executive Committee to continue
to focus on three areas: welfare of our members, contribution to the Faculty of
Business and Economics and responsibility to the society at large. This year, UMA's 30th
Anniversary, we also hope to
reach out to the different generations of UMA and connect with the future
generation, the current students.
Our members are our strength, and even as graduates the learning continues.
Through organising various social and educational events, we hope to expand the
networks across our members, enrich personal development and stimulate further
learning interests. To our alma mater, it is our goal to align resources and
contribute where we can. Last but not least, attention is also paid to our
social responsibility through charitable donations and services.
Owing to its long roots in serving the business graduates, UMA has eligible
membership of over 3000 graduates. With the recent change in constitution extending
membership in line with the recent consolidation of the Faculty of Business and
Economics, I wish to invite all graduates and current students from the Faculty
to become a member of UMA.
By the end of the year, hopefully, we all have more stories to tell.
